Hollywood star James Gandolfini Dies at 51




James Gandolfini, the US actor best known for his role as a therapy-seeking mob boss in The Sopranos, has died at the age of 51.Gandolfini suffered a possible heart attack while on holiday in Rome to attend the Taormina film festival in Sicily. He is survived by a wife and two children. He became a household star for his portrayal of mob boss Tony Soprano on "The Sopranos" a role which earned him three Emmys on six total nominations.

The New Jersey-born star had been in Italy on a father and son ''Get away'' James Gandolfini's teenage son, Michael, found the actor collapsed in their Italy hotel room and called for help.The manager of the hotel in Rome where Gandolfini and his son were staying stated in an interview that  the young boy found his father collapsed in the bathroom around 10 p.m. local time Wednesday. The 51-year-old actor was still alive when the ambulance arrived, but was later pronounced dead at the Policlinico Umberto I.

The sad news was released to the public by his managers Mark Armstrong and Nancy Sanders, in a statement on Wednesday night.
'' It is with immense sorrow that we report our client James Gandolfini passed away today while on holiday in Rome, Italy," 
"Our hearts are shattered and we will miss him deeply."
HBO also said the star of The Sopranos, which ran for six series on the cable channel from 1999-2007, would be "deeply missed"
