Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the latest instalment of the epic Hollywood sci-fi movie has landed 11 nominations at the upcoming MTV Movie Awards. This tops other nominees ahead of the upcoming awards.
The movie, which chronicles the story of the ‘resistance against a threat to the galaxy’, was nominated for Movie of the Year, Best Hero (Daisy Ridley), Best Villain (Adam Driver), Best Virtual Performance (Lupita Nyong’o and Andy Serkis) and Best Ensemble Cast.
Others nominations include Best Female Performance (Daisy Ridley), Best Fight, Breakthrough Performance (Daisy Ridley). British-Nigerian actor, John Boyega also got two nominations (Breakthrough Performance and Best Action Performance) for his role as Finn in the movie.
