Two contestants of the Silverbird Most beautiful girl in Nigeria pageant, Ujunwa Amanda Onwudilo (miss Ebonyi) and Ifunanya Nledo (Miss Gombe) bade the journey to winning the coveted crown goodbye. Controversies arose when credible reasons for their exit were not given.
Controversy became a friend of the house in 2011, when Sylvia Nduka was suddenly crowned as MBGN 2011, then Isabella Ayuk was booted out from the miss world 2012 pageant for fake age declaration.
