The court case of Oscar Pistorious over the killing of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on February 14th has been postponed till the 19th of August. Oscar appeared in court today, but prosecutors asked for more time to gather facts for a solid murder case against him.
According to the judge presiding over the case, Oscar Pistorious has faced "trial by media" because of the constant buzz from the media. He would remain on bail until his trial begins.
However, an update on the witnesses to testify against him suggests that Rugby Player Francois Hougaard, a supposed boy friend of the deceased would stand in the witness box against Pistorious. Reports (though unconfirmed) states that the two had been exchanging text messages the night before she was murdered and was with her mobile phone when she was shot.
A few of Oscar's neighbors would also testify. The mother of the deceased said in an interview that her daughter and Oscar argued constantly and was afraid to be in his company.
