75 year old Miguel Pajares (pictured above) who had been working as a missionary in Liberia tested positive to Ebola at the San Jose de Monrovia Hospital in Monrovia. The Spanish Government sent a medically-equipped military jet to Liberia yesterday to repatriate Pajares, who has now arrived Madrid for treatment.
Paciencia Melgar, a nun from Spain who also had been working in Equatorial Guinea has also tested positive to Ebola and will also be repatriated to Spain. They both belonged to a Catholic humanitarian group that runs hospitals around the world, and had been helping to treat patients infected with the virus when they got infected. God save us all
