Paralympian Oscar Pistorious broke down in tears today as he was officially charged with premeditated murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp. Pistorious and his lawyers hoped for a lesser charge of man-slaughter after claiming he shot Reeva after mistaking her for an intruder.
He will now face a murder trial which will run from now to March 20 2014 at North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria.
