CRUNCHY BOX-OFFICE MOVIES: Despicable Me

The animated sequel “Despicable Me 2” has walked head held high in the box office movies sitting at number one on the Crunchy box office movies. The animation outdid the debuts of the Adam Sandler comedy “Grown Ups 2”
 
The movie starred  Steve Carell as ex-supervillain Gru and made another $55.5 million overseas that brought its global two-week total to $472.4 million, according to studio estimates. Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment's worldwide blockbuster Despicable Me, entertained audiences around the globe in 2010, grossing more than $540 million and becoming the10th-biggest animated motion picture in U.S. history.
