You remember Ariel Castro, the Cleveland kidnapper who held three women captive in his home against their will for nearly 10 years right? He was found dead after hanging himself in his prison cell Tuesday night.
According to reports, Castro, 53, who was in protective custody because of the notoriety of his case, This means he was checked every 30 minutes, he hung himself during a break between inspection.
He was found dead at about 9.20pm at Correctional Reception Center in Orient, Ohio.
The prison medical staff performed CPR on him before he was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
On 1st Aug 2013, Castro was sentenced to life plus 1,000 years in prison for kidnapping and raping Amanda Berry, Michelle Knight and Gina DeJesus, and holding them captive in his Cleveland home for more than a decade. Before his death, Castro had served only one month of his prison term.
